DAVIDSON DETAIL
Mobile & In-Shop Auto Detailing
Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 9, 2026
Davidson Detail (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates Davidsondetail.com and provides mobile and in-shop auto detailing services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from our customers and website visitors, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website or booking a service with us, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
Contact information
Your name, phone number, and email address, which you provide when you book an appointment, request a quote, or contact us.
Service address
Your home, work, or pickup address, so we can perform mobile detailing or arrange vehicle drop-off and pickup.
Vehicle information
Make, model, year, and VIN, so we can prepare the right products and quote your service accurately.
Payment information
When you pay for a service, your payment is processed by our third-party payment processor, Square/Stripe. We do not store your full card number on our own systems — the processor handles that in accordance with its own privacy policy and PCI-DSS security standards.
Website usage information
If you visit our website, we may automatically collect standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and which pages you viewed. This is typically gathered through Squarespace, Invoice Fly, and Meta Ads, and helps us understand how people use the site.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information above to:
- Schedule, confirm, and provide detailing services
- Process payments for services rendered
- Communicate with you about appointments (confirmations, reminders, follow-ups)
- Respond to questions, quote requests, and customer service issues
- Improve our website and services
- Send promotional offers or updates, but only if you’ve opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We only share it with:
- Service providers who help us run the business — our payment processor, scheduling software, and similar tools — solely so they can perform their function for us
- Legal authorities, if required to comply with a law, subpoena, or legal process
- A successor business, if Davidson Detail is ever sold or transferred
4. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including relying on payment processors that meet industry security standards. However, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We keep customer and appointment records for as long as needed to provide services, maintain business records, and meet any legal or tax obligations, after which we delete or anonymize the information.
6. Your Choices and Rights
You can:
- Ask us what personal information we have about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Ask us to delete your information (subject to any records we’re legally required to keep)
- Opt out of marketing emails or texts at any time
To make any of these requests, contact us using the information in Section 9. Note: Tennessee’s state privacy law (the Tennessee Information Protection Act) generally applies only to larger businesses, so it likely doesn’t legally apply to Davidson Detail. We honor the requests above as a matter of good practice regardless.
7. Cookies
Our website may use cookies or similar technologies (often through our website host or booking tool) to remember preferences and understand site traffic. You can disable cookies through your browser settings, though some site features may not work as well.
8. Children’s Privacy
Our services and website are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
